Join our efforts to revitalize Kula’s fire-affected landscape and to ensure the resilience of our community.
THE KULA FIRE RESTORATION PROJECT
It takes a village.
On August 8, 2023, the Kula Fire scorched over 200 acres of once-forested land, leaving a fragile and destabilized landscape in its wake. The health of our watershed is at critical risk, and the communities living downslope now face an urgent threat of erosion and sediment runoff, particularly with the onset of storms. This is why the Kula Community Watershed Alliance was formed of, by, and for the fire-affected communities of Kula.
The time to act is now. Your support can help us stabilize this burned landscape and begin the vital work of restoring watershed health. Together, we can prevent catastrophic erosion and protect the natural systems that sustain Kula’s environment and people.
The Kula Community Watershed Alliance’s Kula Fire Restoration Project is a survivor-led initiative to recover, restore, and rebuild a resilient native landscape. With your help, we can guide the land toward regeneration, replacing what was lost with a thriving ecosystem that protects both the watershed and the community. This is a long-term effort, and we are committed to seeing it through.
By making an unrestricted gift today, you empower us to respond swiftly and effectively to the changing needs of the land. Your contribution helps ensure we have the resources to address challenges and take immediate action on the ground.
Leave a legacy of resilience and renewal for Kula’s fire-affected landscapes and communities. Together, we can help the impacted lands and people recover and thrive for generations to come. Mahalo nui for your commitment to this shared vision of hope and restoration.
